Mary began her career in financial development over 20 years ago. The majority of that time has been spent working with clients ranging from large to mid-size human service organizations, independent schools, and animal shelters, as well as national organizations focused on health and equity.
Prior to joining DBD Group, Mary served in a variety of roles including but not limited to the head of Advancement for a K-12 independent school serving children with learning disabilities; as a fundraising consultant on retainer with the YMCA of Metro Atlanta and YMCA of the USA; and as a Senior Campaign Consultant with a boutique fundraising firm specializing in full-service capital campaign development for organizations seeking to raise between $5M - $20M.
Mary earned a B.S. degree in psychology from Missouri State University where she was President of her university’s chapter of the honorary psychology society, Psi Chi. Mary and her husband, Felipe, reside in Atlanta, GA with their three teenage sons. Most weekends you can find her volunteering at the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry, gardening, or trying out a new recipe to impress her family.
