His background as a data oriented, visionary leader and coach helps him use both strategic analysis and inspiration to generate successful outcomes. His abilities as a speaker and storyteller helps him and his clients tell their own stories in a more powerful manner so that they can achieve their mission-driven goals.

Kennerly’s experience as a nonprofit professional began as a Development Officer at Doane University where he spearheaded initiatives to re-engage alumni of color. He and a group of generous donors’ efforts resulted in the Institution’s first scholarship for African American students in financial need.
Kennerly also co-developed the strategic planning for the founding of Heartland Arts KC, a Kansas City based non-profit utilizing performative art to advocate for social policy in the Kansas City community.
Prior to joining DBD Group, Kennerly held leadership positions in the rapidly evolving, highly competitive tech start up industry. This experience granted him perspective on the importance of organizational culture in the fulfillment of ambitious goals.
Kennerly holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Doane University. He lives in Lincoln, NE where he enjoys spending time with friends, reading, song and poetry writing, and performing at local open mic nights. A lifelong champion of sport, you can usually find him volunteering his time coaching high school wrestling on the weekends.
