After “34 years in camping” of which were spent at Camp Manito-wish YMCA and YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago’s Hastings Lake Camps, Anne Derber offers camps, YMCAs and other nonprofits counsel in fundraising, strategic management, board governance and more. Anne and her team at Camp Manito-wish celebrated their 100th anniversary in 2018 which also culminated in a successful 5 million dollar capital and 15 million dollar endowment campaign. Board development, fund development, staff development, strategic planning, recruitment strategies, youth development and understanding the value of wilderness travel have been at the forefront of her work.
The satisfaction of watching campers and young adults emerge into mindful, responsible and compassionate leaders has been a driving force behind her career. Serving others, integrity and building trust are key attributes in her work.

Anne has served on the National YMCA Board of Directors and on the American Camp Association National Board.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Anne resides in Presque Isle, WI with her husband Brian. She is a volunteer with several local organizations and currently serves on the American Camp Foundation Board. She also serves on the board for the Boulder Junction Lions Club, the Boulder Junction Economic Development/Connect Communities Committee, and is active on several committees for the Community Church of Boulder Junction.
