Alison Hansen, CFRE, has dedicated nearly 20 years to serving nonprofit organizations through her expertise in fundraising, communications, board development, and leadership coaching.
A dynamic and strategic thinker, Alison coaches nonprofit staff and volunteers to implement strategies that maximize their impact in their communities. She’s known among her peers as a trusted resource, always ready to offer support and guidance.

Her diverse career spans the arts, education, and human services sectors. Before joining DBD Group, Alison served as the Chief Advancement Officer at the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati and held leadership roles with YMCAs in Louisville, KY, and Colorado Springs, CO. She has also worked with the Fund for the Arts and the Louisville Youth Choir in Louisville, KY.
Prior to transitioning into nonprofit leadership, Alison was a middle school music teacher, directing choral ensembles and teaching general music and humanities.
Alison earned her degree in Music Education from Eastern Kentucky University and later pursued Public Administration at Northern Kentucky University. She has been recognized with the Woman of Excellence Award from the Women’s Leadership Resource Network of YMCA of the USA and has served on the Women’s Initiative Engagement Committee with the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Alison is also a proud alumna of the Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce’s WE Lead (Class 14) program.
Alison lives in Kentucky with her husband, twin daughters, and a lively collection of rescue pets. When she’s not chauffeuring her children to various activities, she enjoys getting lost in a good book and attending concerts and music festivals.
